Alice Braga and Alia Shawkat

Alia Shawkat has been a TV actor for more than 20 years. She was born on on 18th April 1989 located in Riverside California. She played Maeby in the Fox show Arrested Development, a part that won her TV Land Future Classic Award. Shawkat was one of the cast members of the film Whip It alongside Ellen Page. From 2001-2004, Shawkat played Hannah in State of Grace. Shawkat portrayed Maeby Funke throughout the entirety of Arrested Development's run from 2003 to 2018, as part of the cast that remained. The role of Shawkat was often mentioned in series reviews. Brian M. Palmer described Shawkat as "one of the brightest lights in a show that is populated with the brightest light" and Scott Weinberg (eFilmCritic) called her a hilarious young lady. In an interview on The A.V. Shawkat confessed in the year 2010 that some of her most memorable performances took place on the Arrested Improvement set. Mitch Hurwitz acted as an uncle to me.
