Dua Lipa is a British artist/singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. In 2014, after working as a model and actress, she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She launched her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. It peaked at 3rd place at the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. top-ranked song New Rules which peaked at 6th within the United States. Lipa is the recipient of Brit Awards 2018 for two categories: British Female Artist, British Breakthrough Act. In addition, her album's platinum certification is recognized in multiple countries. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. She is of Bosnian origin by the maternal grandparents of her. It is also possible to find her family's roots in the Kosovo town of Peja. Her grandparents were both historians and professors. She has two siblings, Rina as well as Gjin. Her musical inspirations come from her father, who is the guitarist and singer of Kosovan Rock band Oda.
